The Livitrans train is a special deluxe train service in 2 carriages linking with SP1 and SP2 which offers A/ C, soft-sleepers and clean four-berth cabins running from Hanoi railway station to Lao Cai station (last train stop to Sapa town) and return
Livitrans is a newly built train connecting Hanoi and Lao Cai. It is considered one of the most luxurious trains in Vietnam with its equipment equivalent to a high-class hotel standard to serve a high demanding tourists to visit Sapa by train.
The train is a joint venture between Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industry Corporation and Vietnam Railway Corporation which officially started its operation on 1st September 2007.
Livitrans Express Train, which comprises of 9 wooden cabins and one electricity generation compartment, is expected to expand to 15 carriages to be able to accommodate 420 passengers in the near future. it is equipped with a bar, LCD television sets and toilets of aviation standards. Passengers will be also offered drinks, confectionery and newspapers for free.
